Coach Leingang grew up in Bismarck running track and cross country. During his time in high school he was a 12 time state champ and won two national titles in the 5k. He went on to compete for the University of Oregon Ducks where he was a part of two national team titles and placing 9th in the collegiate national 5k. He finished his running career at NDSU where he completed his Physical Education and Health teaching degree. Coach Leingang will be entering his 3rd year teaching PE, but first year teaching at Legacy High School. He will also enter his first season as the Head Boys XC coach. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and son Onyx.
